3D: Week 007 Assignment (Bake Maps and Digital Painting for a Prop)

Cannon:


The Low Res mesh made in Maya and the High Res mesh made in zBrush (models are Nick Zuccarello's)

I baked the maps and painted the model in Substance Painter 2

2D: Week 007 Assignment (Basic Lighting)

I began by working with gestures and sketches of the form. Once I captured the proportions, I began doing an outline.


Then I block out the form in solid color, which helps me stay inside the form when I add shading.



I go through the form piece by piece, adding shading and details.



Once I finish I begin to clean up the layout.



I test the backgrounds I want.



For this drawing I decided to add a gradient background. Then I put in the shadow.
